My Baptismal Covenants Fitness Camp - L&L the Gospel - Easter

I love spring. Its finally warm enough to play outside! I wanted to make something that was a little more active, but with Easter coming up I also wanted to make something about our Savior.

Each Sunday when have an opportunity to reflect on Jesus Christ and we partake of the sacrament, we are renewing our baptismal covenants. By reviewing the Baptismal Covenant, we learn that it is a promise between us and the Lord and we can evaluate if we are doing what we covenanted to do  being a member of the church, taking upon His name, helping others, testifying of Christ, serving God and keeping his commandments. If we do our part, Heavenly Father will forgive our sins, poor his Spirit more abundantly upon us and redeem us.

This activity would fit great under Developing Talents for the fitness activity, but also under Learning and Living the Gospel: Explain how taking the sacrament helps you renew your Baptismal Covenant. In a family home evening, teach others about things we can do to remain faithful.

Youll need a bag/sac/basket for each girl, 8 bowls and 8 pieces of Hersheys Nuggets (If you choose to use candy- you dont have to. If you are doing this around Easter time, you can use an Easter egg, or you can use chocolate AND an Easter eggs J).

There are eight stations. I made table tents for each station that you can just place on the ground or if youre in a backyard with furniture you can put them on chairs or tables. The table tents have the name and pictures for each exercise. You'll also have a bowl next to the table tent with the "missing word" chocolate nuggets/eggs/paper. One per participant.

The missing words are designed to wrap around a Hersheys nugget, but can also just be folded in half and/or placed in Easter Eggs.

Once everyone has all of their "missing words", they can use them to complete their very own "My Baptismal Covenants" handout. This handout is a great size to fit into scriptures after the activity.

Before they go home, give them this reminder, so they can complete the Family Home Evening part of the requirement.

You can get my files for this activity HERE.

  2. I loved this and don't mind the $4 fee for all your artwork however the colors are so light that even on the highest quality on my photo quality printer I can barely see them. Is there a way to make them either a different color or much darker? Thanks

It printed well on my printer.. but if it was too light for you, I'm sure it's too light for others too. Thank you!!
